Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Samika Labs, Inc. ("unu", "we", "us") and apply to the unu app and this website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use unu.

1. Who can use unu

You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure.

2. What unu does

unu helps you discover fashion products sold by third-party retailers, create outfits, generate AI images of those outfits, and share looks. unu does not sell products. When you choose to buy something, you are taken to the retailer's website and your purchase is a contract between you and that retailer, under its terms, prices, shipping and return policies. We are not responsible for retailers' products, sites or service.

Product information, prices and availability come from retailers and affiliate networks and may be out of date or inaccurate. The retailer's site at checkout is the final word.

3. Affiliate links

Many links on unu are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you buy through them. See our affiliate disclosure.

4. AI-generated images

  • AI try-on images are illustrations. They show an approximation of how pieces might look and may not exactly match a product's real color, fit, size or details.
  • Only upload photos of yourself, or of someone who has given you permission. Do not upload photos of minors other than yourself, or anyone without their consent.
  • Do not use unu to create images that are sexual, deceptive, harassing, hateful, or that impersonate a real person.
  • We may limit how many images you can generate and may refuse or remove generations that break these rules.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, looks, boards and text you add to unu ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce and adapt Your Content as needed to run and promote the Service. For content you keep private, we use it only to provide the Service to you. You can delete Your Content at any time, which ends this license except for copies kept for legal reasons or already shared by other users.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to post it.

6. Creators

If you publish shoppable looks and take part in commission sharing, additional creator terms will apply, including eligibility, payout thresholds and tax information. Creators must disclose paid relationships as required by the FTC Endorsement Guides and similar laws, and must not use misleading practices to generate clicks or sales. We may withhold commissions earned through fraud or abuse.

7. Acceptable use

Do not: break the law or infringe others' rights; post spam, malware or misleading content; scrape, copy or resell the Service or its data; interfere with or overload the Service; try to access accounts or data that are not yours; or generate artificial clicks on shop links.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, including the unu name, logo, design and software, belongs to Samika Labs, Inc. and its licensors. These terms do not give you any right to use them except to use the Service as intended. Retailer names, product images and trademarks belong to their owners.

9. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on unu infringes your copyright, email hello@tryunu.com with the work, the content and its location, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act. We will remove infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using unu and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to for legal or safety reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as 5, 8, 11, 12 and 13) survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI images or product information will be accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Samika Labs, Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or any purchase from a retailer. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Samika Labs, Inc. against claims and costs arising from Your Content or your breach of these terms, to the extent allowed by law.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date above, and tell you in advance about significant changes. Continuing to use unu after changes take effect means you accept them.

15. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Samika Labs, Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, together with the Privacy policy and affiliate disclosure, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
